Yoya ("we", "us") provides conversational scheduling: a host shares a link, and guests book a meeting through a chat. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to yoya.ai and the Yoya service.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up — with email and password, or with Google — we collect your name and email address, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Booking page settings. The content you configure: your link, meeting title and description, availability hours, timezone, and the prompts you give the AI.
- Booking and conversation data. When a guest books, we store the messages exchanged with the AI, the meeting time, and the guest's name, email, and the details they share (the meeting brief).
- Google Calendar data. Only if you choose to connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar to create, update, and cancel the meeting events for your bookings (including their Google Meet links). We do not read your existing calendar events for any other purpose.
How we use information
- To operate the scheduling service and show your booking page.
- To run the booking conversation, capture the meeting brief, and confirm meetings against your real availability.
- To send transactional emails — booking confirmations, calendar invites (.ics), and reschedule/cancel notices.
- If you connect Google Calendar, to create and manage the calendar event and Google Meet link for each booking on your behalf.
Google user data and Limited Use
Yoya's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, Google Calendar data we access is used only to provide and improve the booking feature you requested — creating, updating, and deleting the calendar events for your bookings. We do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train generalized AI/ML models. It is only accessible to you (the host) and is not shared with third parties except as needed to provide the service (see below).
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell your data. We share data only with infrastructure providers that help us run Yoya, under their own terms: hosting and database (Vercel, Neon), transactional email (Resend), and the AI model provider that powers the booking conversation. Google receives only the calendar event details needed to create the event you booked. We may disclose data if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time, which revokes our access. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below; you may also revoke Yoya's access to your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access tokens are stored encrypted, and access is limited to operating the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
