Spend the interview learning.
Yoya helps founders schedule customer interviews and collect a little background before meeting. Participants describe their workflow, choose an available time in their time zone, and confirm their contact details. You arrive with context for your questions.
Before the calendar invite
When you are talking to customers between product work and support, the scheduling thread can become another task to manage. A short booking conversation can establish what someone does and why the topic matters to them, while leaving the actual research for the interview.
01Explain the invitation
Create a booking page that explains the interview topic and length. Tell participants what to expect. Set hours you can consistently offer and allow a buffer to finish notes before the next conversation.
02Ask for relevant background
Ask about the participant’s role and their current workflow. Keep questions neutral rather than asking them to agree with your product idea. Use required fields only for details you need to run the session.
03Confirm the time and prepare
The web booking page detects the guest’s browser time zone and lets them change it. Review the confirmed time and the meeting brief before the session. The guest can reschedule through their booking management link.
A starting point for your booking page
Adapt these conversation instructions to your work:
Ask what the participant does and how they currently handle the workflow we are researching. Keep the questions neutral and short. Save detailed research questions for the interview, and do not infer that the participant likes the product.
Suggested required fields: Role; Workflow you would like to discuss. Only add the ones you need. Name and email are already required.
Questions before you start
- Does Yoya find research participants for me?
- No. You recruit participants and share your link. Yoya handles the booking conversation and prepares context from what the participant shares.
- Does the booking brief summarize the interview?
- No. It summarizes the conversation before the meeting. It is not an interview recording, a transcript of the call, or a research findings report.
- Can I book participants in other time zones?
- Yes. On the web booking page, guests see times in their detected or selected time zone. If they book through an MCP-compatible AI assistant, availability labels use the host’s zone and the assistant should convert them explicitly.
